Angioplasty

Angioplasty
Acerca de Angioplasty
Angioplasty is a procedure used to fix clogged or narrow arteries in the heart. When our heart arteries get blocked, it can cause problems with blood flow, leading to chest pain or heart attacks. During angioplasty, a small tube with a deflated balloon is inserted into the blocked artery. The balloon is then inflated to widen the artery and allow blood to flow freely. Sometimes, a tiny metal tube called a stent is also placed to help keep the artery open. Angioplasty is like opening a blocked pipe to restore normal blood flow and prevent heart problems.
